Scapegoat Theatre Collective

presents....
a Dramatic Staged Reading-

9 Parts of Desire by Heather Raffo

Friday, April 25, at 7:30pm
Asheville Arts Center on Merrimon Ave.

This beautifully crafted, incredibly moving narrative delves into the stories of 9 Iraqi women during wartime. By turning this one-woman show into a staged reading featuring nine local actors, director Taryn Strauss hopes to bring these women's stories home.

This is an event to raise awareness of how war and cultural violence affects women, in observance of National Sexual Assault Awareness month. The dramatic staged reading will feature a wine and cheese reception and raffle with speakers at 7:30, and the show will begin at 8:30pm. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to OUR VOICE, the rape crisis center, serving over 6,000 Buncombe County residents annually through counseling and prevention.

Tickets will be sold at the door for $20.00 per person. There will be no tickets sold in advance. Box Office opens at 6:30pm at the Asheville Arts Center on Friday, April 25th.

This production is to benefit Our Voice
